New features and improvements in PingID mobile app 3.4.0

## Use PingID mobile app as your authenticator app for third-party services

New PingID mobile app

You can now use PingID mobile app as an authenticator app to access any third-party service that supports Time-based One-Time Passwords (TOTPs), such as social media sites, personal accounts, and other apps.

## Support for push notifications from PingAM and PingOne Advanced Identity Cloud

New PingID mobile app

We've added support for multi-factor authentication (MFA) push notifications originating from the Push Sender node in PingAM and PingOne Advanced Identity Cloud journeys.

To implement this feature, you'll need to configure the Backstage Push Notification Service to send messages to the PingID mobile app (rather than the ForgeRock authenticator).

## PingID mobile app documentation improvements

Improved PingID mobile app

We've restructured the PingID End User Guide with a new section focusing on the PingID mobile app's unique capabilities.

The new section covers authentication (including using PingID mobile app as an authenticator app for third-party services), verification, and the use of Creds. It also includes a new FAQ with best practices, and common troubleshooting questions.
