# LexisNexis InstantID Quiz Decision node

The LexisNexis InstantID Quiz Decision node calls the LexisNexis Dynamic Decision Platform (DDP) Authentication Hub to validate the answers an end user has submitted for the IIDQA quiz. Quiz answers are passed through shared state from the LexisNexis IIDQA Quiz Collector node to this node. The node then generates the DDP Authentication Hub IIDQA API request and inspects the API response for success or failure.

## Example

Read the [Example LexisNexis IIDQA journey](lexis-iidqa.html#lexis-iidqa-example).

## Availability

| Product                                        | Available? |
| ---------------------------------------------- | ---------- |
| PingOne Advanced Identity Cloud | Yes |
| PingAM (self-managed)                          | Yes        |
| Ping Advanced Identity Software (self-managed) | Yes        |

## Inputs

This node reads the following from the shared state:

* `iidqa.quiz_answers`: the quiz answers collected by the LexisNexis InstantID Quiz Collector node. The node uses this JSON object value to invoke an API request with the quiz answers for validation.

* `iidqa.request_id`: the request ID associated with the DDP Authentication Hub API response from the LexisNexis InstantID Get Quiz node. The node uses this value to invoke an API request with the quiz answers for validation.

## Dependencies

The node requires the [LexisNexis InstantID Get Quiz node](lexis-iidqa-get-quiz.html) and the [LexisNexis InstantID Quiz Collector node](lexis-iidqa-quiz-collector.html) in the journey to generate the quiz and collect the answers.

The node requires an integration with the LexisNexis DDP portal. Set the Policy property to the same DDP portal policy configured on the LexisNexis IIDQA Get Quiz node.

## Configuration

| Property                          | Usage                                                                                                                                                                     |
| --------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Org ID | The unique ID associated with DDP for your organization. |
| API Key | The unique API key generated by the DDP portal and associated with the Org ID. |
| Base URL | The domain URL for the DDP region where IIDQA API requests are sent. The default is the global region. |
| Policy | The DDP portal policy used to integrate the DDP Authentication Hub with IIDQA. Set this property to the same policy configured on the LexisNexis InstantID Get Quiz node. |
| Store IIDQA Decision API Response | If enabled, the Decision API response is written to the `iidqa.api_response` shared state key. |

## Outputs

This node writes the following to the shared state:

* `iidqa.api_response`: the Decision API response, if you enabled Store IIDQA Decision API Response.

* `iidqa.failure_reason`: text associated with the error condition, if an error outcome is triggered.

This node keeps the `iidqa.request_id` value in the shared state, and removes the `iidqa.quiz` and `iidqa.quiz_answers` values.

## Callbacks

This node doesn't send any callbacks.

## Outcomes

* `Pass`

  The quiz answers all pass according to the DDP IIDQA policy.

* `Challenge`

  The API response attribute is `challenge`.

* `Fail`

  The quiz answers don't pass according to the DDP IIDQA policy.

* `API Error`

  There is an issue with the API request, such as a network timeout, or the service is unavailable.

* `Error`

  There is an integration error. Check the debug log files for any integration issues. If the configuration looks accurate, open a support case with LexisNexis.

## Errors

This node doesn't log any error or warning messages of its own.
