# NuData Initialize node

The NuData Initialize node initializes the NuData SDK on a page node and starts collecting behavioral data for the NuData risk-assessment service.

## Example

The following example shows how to use the NuData Initialize node to start behavioral data collection as part of a credentials journey:

* The [Page node](../page.html) presents the sign-on fields and loads the NuData widget:

  * The [Platform Username node](../platform-username.html) collects the username and stores it in the shared state.

  * The [Platform Password node](../platform-password.html) collects the password and stores it in the shared state.

  * The NuData Initialize node loads the NuData SDK and starts collecting behavioral data.

* The [Data Store Decision node](../data-store-decision.html) validates the user's credentials.

* A `True` outcome routes to the [NuData Score node](nudata-score.html), which submits the collected behavioral data to NuData and returns the risk level.

## Inputs

None. This node doesn't read shared state data.

## Dependencies

The node requires a NuData account with access to the NuData SDK.

## Configuration

| Property       | Usage                                                                                                                                 |
| -------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Base URL       | The URL from which the page loads the NuData SDK script.Get this value from NuData.                                                   |
| Client ID      | The client identifier that NuData issued for your account.The SDK uses it to attribute the collected behavioral data to your account. |
| SDK Version    | The version of the NuData SDK that the node loads.                                                                                    |
| Placement Type | The category of the page where the widget collects behavioral data.                                                                   |

## Outputs

This node writes the following to the shared state:

* `nuDataWidgetData`: the NuData behavioral data collected.

## Callbacks

This node doesn't send any callbacks.

## Outcomes

The node has the following outcomes:

* `Next`

  The NuData SDK initialized successfully and the NuData widget data was collected.

* `Error`

  An error occurred while initializing the NuData SDK.

## Errors

This node doesn't log any error or warning messages of its own.
