PingFederate Google Cloud Identity Connector User Guide 1.2

The PingFederate Google Cloud Identity Connector (Google CIC) allows a Service Provider (SP) to leverage Google as an Identity Provider (IdP) for access to applications in the SP domain. The Google CIC uses the Google+ API, which leverages the OpenID Connect standard, to authenticate users and optionally return user information.

In addition, an SP may allow its internal users to leverage their G Suite (formerly known as Google Apps) credentials for secure SSO based on standards. In this scenario, the Google CIC uses the Directory API from the G Suite Admin SDK to gather user information.

(For more information about identity-federation standards and partner connections, see Support standards in the PingFederate Administrator’s Manual.)
