# Install the authenticator

1. Download the Atlassian Integration Kit `.zip` archive from the [**Add-ons** tab of the PingFederate downloads page](https://www.pingidentity.com/en/resources/downloads/pingfederate.html) or the [Ping Identity Marketplace](https://marketplace.pingone.com/item/atlassian-integration-kit).

2. From the distribution package, copy file: `dist/pf-authenticator-x.jar` to the Atlassian library directory:

   * For Confluence, `<Atlassian Installation Directory>/Confluence/confluence/WEB-INF/lib`

   * For Jira, `<Atlassian Installation Directory>/Jira/atlassian-jira/WEB-INF/lib`
