# Uploading the plugin

## About this task

The process is similar for deploying the plugin in both Jira and Confluence.

## Steps

1. Log in to Jira as an administrator.

2. From the **Settings** menu, click **Manage apps**.

3. On the sidebar, click **Manage apps**.

4. Click **Upload app**.

5. Go to the integration kit contents, and select the `dist/pf-authenticator-plugin-x.jar` file. Click **Upload**.

6. Click **Configure**.
