# Configure Server Settings

## Steps

1. Sign on to the PingFederate administrative console.

2. On the **System > Protocol Settings > Roles & Protocols** page, ensure the IdP role is enabled and SAML 2.0 is selected for that role.

3. Click **Next** to continue to configure roles and protocols, or click **Save** for an existing configuration.
