# Configuring single sign-on

To allow PingFederate to act as an identity provider for ServiceNow, configure SSO, exchange signing certificates, and create a connection.

|   | Single sign-on integration is an optional part of this integration. If you only want to use the ServiceNow Provisioner for provisioning, skip these steps. |

## Steps

1. In ServiceNow, install the SSO integration plugin.

   1. In your ServiceNow instance, go to **System Definition > Plugins**.

   2. Click **Integration - Multiple Provider Single Sign-On Installer**.

   3. On the **Integration - Multiple Provider Single Sign-On Installer** detail screen, in the **Related Links** section, click **Activate/Repair**.

   4. On the **Activate Plugin** dialog, click **Activate**.

   5. After the installation finishes, click **Close & Reload Form**.
