# Adding site authenticators

Create a new site authenticator in PingAccess.

## Steps

1. Click **Applications**, then go to **Sites > Site Authenticators**.

2. Click **[icon: plus, set=fa]Add Site Authenticator**.

3. In the **Name** field, enter a unique name.

   This name is shown in the **Site Authenticator** list on the **New Site** tab.

   |   | Special characters and spaces are allowed. |

4. In the **Site Authenticator** list, select the type of authentication.

5. To continue, select one of the following authentication types:

   ### Choose from:

   * [Basic authentication site authenticators](pa_basic_authn_site_authenticators.html)

   * [Mutual TLS site authenticators](pa_mutual_tls_site_authenticators.html)

   * [Token mediator site authenticators](pa_token_mediator_site_authenticators.html)

   * [SAML token mediator site authenticators](pa_saml_token_mediator_site_authn.html)
