This table lists some potential problems and resolutions you might encounter while upgrading PingAccess.

| Upgrade from version 4.3 or earlier fails due to Groovy rule changes. | To verify your Groovy scripts are prepared for the upgrade, review the [Groovy development reference guide](../reference_guides/pa_groovy_in_pa.html) and the [Upgrade considerations](pa_upgrade_considerations.html). |
| Custom plugins are missing after upgrade.                             | Manually add the custom plugins to the `<PA Home>/deploy` directory.                                                                                                                                                    |
