If you have privileges that allow you to install applications, you can remove the PingCentral systemv service.

## Steps

1. Sign on to the system as a root user.

   | Option | Description |
   | ------------------ | ----------------------------------------------- |
   | Stop the service | Run the `/etc/init.d/pingcentral stop` command. |
   | Delete the service | Run the `chkconfig --del pingcentral` command. |
