# Defining a SCIM service provider

On the **Service Provider Config Options** tab, you can optionally define the System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM) *(tooltip: \

\
An application-level, HTTP-based protocol for provisioning and managing user identity information. SCIM supplies a common schema for representing users and groups and provides a REST API.\

\
)* service provider configuration.

## About this task

PingFederate supports the SCIM 2.0 protocol for inbound provisioning.

In the **Documentation URI** text field, enter the URI of your SCIM service provider.
