# Manage sessions

For information about IG sessions, refer to [Sessions](../about/about-sessions.html). Change IG session properties in the following ways:

| ------------------ | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Stateless sessions | Configure the [JwtSession](../reference/JwtSession.html) object in the route that processes a request, or in its ascending configuration.For example, define the `cookie` property to configure the IG session name.```json

| Stateful sessions  | Change the `session` property in `admin.json`, and restart IG.For example, add the following lines to `admin.json` to configure the IG session name:```json
