# Disabling push notifications

If you experience slow internet speeds, or prefer to authenticate using a one-time passcode (OTP) *(tooltip: \<div class="paragraph">
\<p>A passcode valid for only one sign-on or transaction on a computer system or other digital device. Also known as a one-time password, one-time PIN, or dynamic password.\</p>
\</div>)* only, you can disable push notifications for your [organization account](../pid_mobile_app/ma_mobile_app_faqs.html#OrganizationAccounts) in PingID mobile app.

## About this task

## Steps

1. Open PingID on your mobile device and tap the Menu icon (![Screen shot showing the Menu icon](../_images/sbz1693734715521.png)).

2. Tap **Settings** (![creen capture of the Settings icon](_images/hqm1693733836112.png)).

   You'll see a list of your organizations.

3. To disable notifications, tap **Allow Notifications** until the slider turns gray.

## Result

The settings are updated immediately. The next time you need to authenticate, enter the latest passcode that appears in the PingID mobile app.
