# Adding a terms of service agreement prompt

You can require end users to consent to a terms of service agreement as part of a sign-on policy. Learn more in [Agreements](../user_experience/p1_agreements.html).

## Steps

1. In the PingOne admin console, go to **Authentication > Authentication**.

2. Click **[icon: plus, set=fa]Add Policy** to create a new policy, or click the **Pencil** icon ([icon: pencil, set=fa]) to edit an existing one.

3. Click **[icon: plus, set=fa]Add step**.

4. In the **Step Type** list, select **Agreement Prompt**.

5. Select the appropriate terms of service agreement. Learn more about creating a terms of service agreement in [Agreements](../user_experience/p1_agreements.html). You can also preview the agreement to see how it will appear to end users.

6. Click **Save**.

## Result

PingOne updates the authentication policy to include the selected terms of service agreement.
