# Users

Users are the unique identities that interact with the applications and services in the environment to which the user is assigned. You can use the **Users** page to manage users in your environment.

An identity is the full representation of a user profile, including the identity's relationships, roles, and attributes. If users are managed in an external identity provider, in PingOne MFA a user is a local instance of the unique identity that interacts with the applications and services of a specified environment.
