# Deploying products and services

After creating an environment for your Ping Identity products and services, set up the connections to products that require additional configuration.

## Before you begin

If you haven't already, add the product requiring configuration to your environment. For example, PingOne Advanced Identity Cloud. Learn more in [Adding a service to an environment](../settings/p1_add_a_service.html).

| | PingOne services are deployed automatically based on what's selected when the environment is added and don't require additional setup.Learn more in [Adding a service to an environment](../settings/p1_add_a_service.html). |

## Steps

1. In the PingOne admin console, go to the **Environments** page and browse or search for the environment that you want to update.

2. Click the environment to open the details panel.

The details panel lists the products and services that are included in the environment, along with details such as the environment ID, environment type, URLs for the environment, license information, and so on.

3. Click **Manage Environment** and click **Overview** in the sidebar.

4. In the **Optional Connections** section, locate the product or service that requires configuration, click the **More Options** icon ([icon: ellipsis-vertical, set=fa]), and then click **Setup Instructions**.

Products that require additional configuration after they're added to your environment are listed in the **Optional Connections** section and include a **Not Set Up** label.

   | | |
   | - | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
   | | Cloud software products are most easily deployed using Docker images, so if it's an option, click **Docker** and complete the appropriate steps. Learn more about deploying Ping products using Docker on the [Ping Identity DevOps site](https://devops.pingidentity.com/). |

The ways in which you set up products and services vary. The following image displays the instructions for setting up single sign-on (SSO) to PingFederate.

![In this screen capture, PingFederate isn't set up. Setup instructions are provided.](_images/p1-add-fed-connection-instructions.png)

5. Complete the setup as instructed.

6. After you've completed the setup, return to the **Optional Connections** section of the **Overview** page.

7. Locate the product in the **Optional Connections** list, click [icon: ellipsis-vertical, set=fa], and then click **Configure**.

8. Complete the configuration as instructed.

## Result

If the configuration is successful, the **Not Set Up** label is removed and a **New** label is added. This label only persists during the session. If you refresh the page or sign out and sign back on, the label is removed.

The name of the product is now a hyperlink that you can click to sign on to the product from PingOne.
