## Before you begin

You'll need a PingOne account with at least one environment that includes the PingOne Verify service. Learn more in [Starting a PingOne trial](../pingone_tutorials/p1_start_a_trial_tutorial_basic_passwordless.html) and [Creating an environment](../getting_started_with_pingone/p1_getting_started_adding_environment.html).

## Steps

1. Establish your verify policy.

When you create a PingOne environment with the PingOne Verify service, a default verification policy is automatically created for you. You can use this default policy as is, modify its settings, or create additional custom policies to fit your needs. Learn more in [Verify policies](p1_verify_policies.html).

2. (Optional) Configure language localization.

Use language localization to configure one or more languages and modify the PingOne Verify text fields that are presented to end users in notifications and agreements. Learn more in [Configuring PingOne Verify language localization](p1_verify_configuration_setup.html#p1_verify_language).

3. Choose your integration and orchestration path.

Verification transactions are orchestrated using integrated identity options. Select the method that best matches your architecture to trigger and manage verification flows. Learn more in [Configuring and orchestrating PingOne Verify](p1_verify_configuration_setup.html#p1-verify-orchestration).

4. Review results and monitor system activity.

View a user's ID verification results or manually approve pending transactions through either the PingOne admin console or the PingOne Verify REST API. Additionally, track real-time transaction activity and monitor license usage. Learn more in [Reviewing and managing verification](p1_verify_managing_verification.html) and [Monitoring PingOne Verify transaction activity and license usage](p1_verify_monitoring.html).
