# Configuring Microsoft Edge

Ensure that the Microsoft Edge browser on the end user's system is configured to support Kerberos authentication. Use the Group Policy Management Editor to configure the browser.

## Steps

1. Start the Group Policy Management Editor from Windows Administrative Tools.

2. Define the applicable trusted URIs as Intranet sites.

   1. Go to **User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Internet Explorer > Internet Control Panel > Security Page**.

   2. Double-click **Site to Zone Assignment List**.

   3. Select **Enabled** if it's not already selected.

   4. Click **Show** to open the **Show Contents** window.

   5. Enter the applicable trust URIs as intranet sites.

      Do one of the following:

      ### Choose from:

      * **If the environment is configured with a custom domain**: In the **Value Name** field, enter the custom domain, and in the **Value** field, enter `1`.

      * **If the environment isn't configured with a custom domain**: In the **Value Name** field, enter the trusted URIs found in [Configuring end user browsers](p1_configuring_end_user_browsers.html) and in the **Value** field, enter `1`.

   6. Click **OK**.

3. Configure the Intranet Zone options.

   1. Go to **User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Internet Explorer > Internet Control Panel > Security Page > Intranet Zone > Logon options**.

   2. In the **Logon options** window and list, select **Automatic logon with current user name and password**. Click **OK**.
