Enabling or disabling an identity provider

If you no longer want to use an external identity provider (IdP), but don’t want to delete it, you can disable it.

Steps

  1. Go to Integrations → External IdPs.

  2. Locate the identity provider that you want to enable or disable.

  3. In the list, click the toggle to enable or disable the identity provider.

Result

The toggle moves to the left (gray) when disabled and to the right (green) when enabled.

IdPs labeled with the Administrator IDP badge are used for authentication into the PingOne admin console and can’t be disabled or deleted while assigned in Settings → Administrator Security. You must go to Administrator Security and remove the IdP from the Authentication Source settings before you can disable or delete the IdP.
