October 30

Increased attribute limit

Improved PingOne

PingOne now supports up to 200 custom string and JSON attributes in a single environment. For more information, see User Attributes.

October 24

Group roles

New PingOne

You can now use PingOne to assign admin roles to groups as well as individual users. Assigning roles to groups allows you to manage roles for multiple users at once, apply role changes in bulk, and view group members to see users that have a particular role. For more information, see Group roles and Managing administrators.

October 18

Use API operation path parameters in policies

New PingOne Authorize

The new PingOne.API Access Management.HTTP.Request.Path Parameters attribute makes it easier to define attributes for parameters in API operation paths for use in custom policies. You can extract information from a request URL, such as the user ID, and use it in policy comparisons. For example, you can write a policy that permits access to a health record only when the user ID in the access token matches the user ID parameter in the request URL. For more information, see Adding custom policies for API services and operations.

October 12

Outbound mutual TLS (mTLS) support for webhooks

New PingOne

PingOne now supports outbound mTLS authentication with webhooks. You can upload or create an outbound mTLS key and specify it when configuring a webhook. The key is used as a client credential when authenticating the webhook. For more information, see Creating or editing a webhook.

October 5

Improved user experience for PingFederate connections

Improved PingOne

We’ve updated the user experience in the PingFederate connections pages in PingOne. The new user interface is clean and modern, and allows administrators to manage PingFederate connections with fewer clicks. For more information, see PingFederate.

October 4

Copy authorization policies and Trust Framework elements

New PingOne Authorize

Now you can easily copy policies and elements in the Trust Framework, such as attributes and services. This reduces the time required to create new policies and elements that are similar to existing configurations.

Disable rules in the policy tree

New PingOne Authorize

To control the granularity of policy evaluation, now you can disable rules in policies. This causes the decision engine to skip disabled rules during policy evaluation and allows you more flexibility in testing and deployment of policy logic.

October 3

LDAP Gateway and Java 21 LTS

Improved PingOne

In addition to Java 8, 11, and 17, the PingOne LDAP Gateway client application version 2.3.4 also supports Java 21 LTS or later. For more information, see LDAP gateways.

October 2

SSO from PingOne to PingFederate

Improved PingOne

The single sign-on (SSO) configuration from PingOne to PingFederate can now be configured for administrators from any environment. Prior to this update, the administrator’s identity had to exist in the same environment as the SSO configuration. For more information, see Setting up SSO to PingFederate.
