# Deleting a certificate

Use the **Certificates and Key Pairs** page to delete a certificate for your environment.

|   | PingOne prevents you from deleting certificates or key pairs that are currently in use. If a certificate or key pair is assigned to an application, for example a SAML integration, deletion is automatically blocked. |

## Steps

1. In the PingOne admin console, go to **Settings > Certificates and Key Pairs**.

2. On the **Certificates** tab, browse or search for the certificate you want to delete.

3. Click the **More Options** (⋮) icon on the certificate you want to delete, and click **Delete**.

4. Select the **I understand and want to continue** checkbox on the **Confirm Delete Certificate** modal, then click **Delete**.
