# Configure a DaVinci authentication flow to use a risk policy

To use authentication policy evaluation with PingID desktop app, you must configure the PingOne DaVinci authentication subflow to use PingOne risk policy:

1. In DaVinci:

   1. Download the latest out-of-the-box (OOTB) PingID authentication subflow from the [Ping Identity Marketplace](https://marketplace.pingone.com/item/pingid-authentication-subflow) and customize as required.

   2. In the PingID Authentication subflow **Flow Settings node**, set the `useProtectPolicyEvaluation` property to `True`.
