# Adding the agreement to the authentication policy

To start gathering consents from end users, add the agreement to the appropriate authentication policy.

## Steps

1. In the PingOne admin console, go to **Authentication > Authentication**.

2. Open the authentication policy you want to add the agreement to.

3. Click the **[icon: pencil, set=fa]**icon to open the policy in edit mode.

4. Click **[icon: plus, set=fa]Add step**.

5. Select **Terms of service prompt**.

6. For **Terms of service agreement**, select the appropriate agreement. If the expected agreement isn't shown, it might not have been added. Learn more in [Adding an agreement](p1_add_an_agreement.html).

7. To see the agreement as it will appear to end users, click **Preview**.

8. Click **Save**.
