# Languages

You can configure one or more languages for the text that is presented to end users in notifications and agreements.

Add an entry for each language that you want to configure for an environment. Use a language-locale pair, such as `American English (en-US)`, to customize text for more specific language variants when you configure agreements.

| | To enable or disable a language, click the language in the **Languages** list and click the toggle on the language details page. |

PingOne uses the user's browser locale and `preferredLanguage` attribute, if set, to determine which language to present to a user. If no content is configured for a user's requested language-locale pair, PingOne shows content for the default language configured for the environment.
