# Self Service

The Self Service portal, also known as the PingOne Self-Service - MyAccount app, allows your end users to view and manage aspects of their accounts, such as changing their passwords or managing their authentication methods.

| | The PingOne Self-Service - MyAccount app is a system application, and some options require configuration of settings within the application. Learn more in [System applications](../applications/p1_system_applications.html). |

In the PingOne admin console, you can configure the following options:

* Control what information appears and choose a sign-off method for end users in the Self Service portal, such as viewing agreements, managing their own sessions, and changing their password. Learn more in [Configuring the Self Service portal end-user experience](p1_configure_self_service.html).

For example, you might want to allow users to manage their own sessions, change their password, or view agreements to which they've consented. You can also define the sign-off method that PingOne uses when a user signs off from the MyAccount app.

To define access control for the MyAccount app:

  1. Go to **Applications > Applications**.

  2. Click the **PingOne Self-Service - MyAccount** application.

  3. Manage group access on the **Access** tab.

* Customize the look and feel of the Self Service portal. Learn more in [Branding and Themes](p1_branding_themes.html).

* Set an authentication policy if you want to use a different policy that's not the default for the environment. Learn more in [Setting up end-user authentication for the Self Service portal](p1_setting_up_authentication_self_service.html).

* (Workforce only) Enable PingID users to manage their PingID authentication methods with MyAccount. Learn more in [Using MyAccount to manage PingID devices (Workforce only)](p1_using_myaccount_to_manage_wf_devices.html).

* (Customer only) Require multi-factor authentication (MFA) to manage authentication methods. Require (PingOne MFA) users to authenticate with MFA before they can manage their authentication methods page with MyAccount. Learn more in [Require users to perform MFA to manage MyAccount page (Customer only)](p1_require_mfa_to_access_myaccount.html).

* Fine-tune the PingOne API scopes to determine the resources the application can access.

  To manage scopes:

  1. Go to **Applications > Applications**.

  2. Click the **PingOne Self-Service - MyAccount** application.

  3. Manage scopes on the **Resources** tab.

Learn more in [Editing scopes for an application](../applications/p1_edit_scopes_for_an_application.html).

* Disable the application if you don't want end users to manage their own accounts. Learn more in [System applications](../applications/p1_system_applications.html).
