# Advanced sync for managed object types

Configuring advanced sync on a managed object type provides an identity-centric view of all the synchronization rules and mappings for the managed object type and every system the object type synchronizes with.

## Manage advanced sync

1. In the Advanced Identity Cloud admin console, go to [icon: people, set=material, size=inline] Identities > Configure.

2. On the Managed Object Types page, select the managed object type. For example, select Alpha realm – User.

3. Click the Advanced Sync tab to display all mappings where the selected managed object type is either the source or the target.

4. To manage advanced sync mappings, do one of the following:

   * To create an advanced sync mapping, click [icon: add, set=material, size=inline] Sync Data.

   * To update an advanced sync mapping, click the mapping you want to edit.

   * To delete an advanced sync mapping, click [icon: more_horiz, set=material, size=inline] for the mapping and select Delete.
