# Remove a mapping

* To remove a mapping, delete the corresponding section from your mapping configuration *(tooltip: You can manage the mapping configuration over REST at the config/sync endpoint.)*.

* To remove a mapping using the IDM admin console, select Configure > Mappings, and then click Delete under the mapping to remove.
