| | The admin console lets you manage custom domain configuration for only the Alpha and Bravo realms. To configure a custom domain for the top-level realm, follow the instructions in [Manage custom domains using the API](custom-domains-api.html). |

To manage the custom domain configuration for the Alpha or Bravo realms:

1. In the Advanced Identity Cloud admin console, open the Realm menu (upper left).

2. Go to [icon: settings, set=material, size=inline] Realm Settings > Custom Domain.

3. Review the list of custom domains configured for the realm:

   * To add a new custom domain:

     1. Click + Add a Custom Domain.

     2. In the Add a Custom Domain modal, enter your domain or subdomain name. For example, `id.mycompany.com`.

     3. Click Next.

     4. In the Verify Domain Name Ownership modal:

        1. (Optional) Follow the on-screen instructions to set up a CNAME record.

        2. Click Verify, then click Done.

   * To delete a custom domain, click its delete icon ([icon: delete, set=material, size=inline]), and in the Delete Custom Domain? modal, click Delete.

     | | Before removing a domain or subdomain from the configuration, you must first update any existing applications that rely on that domain or subdomain. |
