# Change your privacy key

## About this task

The PingOne browser extension saves your passwords for reuse. To access or change your passwords, you need to enter your privacy key.

|   | The privacy key you define is known only to you. It enables you to access and modify the passwords for all of your Basic SSO apps. If you forget your privacy key, it cannot be recovered. |

## Steps

1. To modify your privacy key, in the PingOne dock, click the avatar menu icon and select **Manage Passwords**.

2. Click **Sign On** and enter your old privacy key.

3. In the **Manage Passwords** window, click the **Privacy Key** tab.

4. In the**Privacy Key** area, enter and confirm your new privacy key, then click **Change**.

## Result

Your privacy key is updated.
