# Delete a certificate

## About this task

You must ensure there are no dependent connections before deleting a signing certificate. If there are active applications, application connections, or an identity bridge, the signing certificate cannot be deleted.

| - | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
|   | If no connection is associated with a verification or encryption certificate, the certificate is automatically deleted. |

## Steps

1. In the PingOne for Enterprise admin portal, click **Setup > Certificates**.

2. In the certificate list, expand the relevant entry and click the Delete icon.
