# Launch an application

## About this task

Click an application in the PingOne dock, or search for an app and launch it from the search bar.

|   | Some Basic SSO applications require you to enter your username and password the first time you log on to the application. Your details are saved by the PingOne browser extension, so you will not have to enter them when you access the application again. If the PingOne browser isn't installed, you will be prompted to install it when you try to access an application. |

## Steps

1. In the PingOne dock search bar, type the name, or part of the name of the application, and then click **Open**. The app opens in a new browser window or tab.
