# Upgrade the PingOne for Enterprise dock

Configure the settings and branding that you want to appear on the new dock. Once you are finished, upgrade the dock. After the upgrade, all users are directed to the new dock.

## About this task

You can customize the look and feel of your new dock, and then preview the changes before you upgrade. Your users can continue to work in the legacy dock until you are ready to upgrade. You can preview the changes as many times as you need using the new dock URL provided in the admin portal.

## Steps

1. In the PingOne for Enterprise admin portal, go to **Setup > Dock > Configuration**.

2. Configure Dock settings.

   ### Choose from:

   * If you use the PingOne for Enterprise Directory as your identity provider, see [Configure the dock when using PingOne for Enterprise Directory](p14e_configure_dock_when_using_p14e_directory.html).

   * If you use another identity provider, see [Configuring the dock when using an identity bridge](p14e_configuring_dock_when_using_identity_bridge.html).

3. Customize the [branding and design](p14e_assign_branding_design.html) of the Dock.

4. To preview your new Dock settings, click the **Upgraded Ping Dock URL**.

5. When you are finished configuring your Dock, click **Upgrade Dock** and then click **Save**.

## Result

The dock is upgraded to the new dock, and in the **Configuration** tab, the preview URL is removed and only the live PingOne dock URL field is shown.
