# View and change certificate usage

You can view a list of the application connections and the identity repository associated with a signing, verification, or encryption certificate in the **Certificates** menu.

## About this task

|   | Signing certificates can be associated with multiple application connections. |

## Steps

1. Click **Setup > Certificates**.

2. In the row for the certificate that you want to view, click to expand the details.

3. Click **Usage**.

   ### Result:

   A list of application connections or the identity repository associated with the certificate is displayed.

4. Click an application connection to open an Update Certificate window.

5. Change an application connection or identity repository.

   1. For signing certificates, you have the option to select a different signing certificate, if available. For more information, see [Updating a signing certificate](p14e_updating_signing_certificate.html)

   2. For verification or encryption certificates, you have the option to replace the certificate by uploading a new verification or encryption certificate. For more information, see [Updating a verification certificate](p14e_updating_veritifaction_certificate.html) or [Update an encryption certificate](p14e_update_encryption_certificate.html).
