# Adding a new connection to an existing customer

Connect an existing customer to a new application by creating a new application connection using the same customer details.

## Steps

1. Create a new connection:

   ### Choose from:

   * Add the [SSO self-service widget](p14saas_create_connection_using_sso_self_service_widget.html) to your new application.

   * Use the [customer connection API](p14saas_create_connection_using_customer_connection_api.html) to add a new connection to your new application.

   * Send a new [SSO connection invitation](p14saas_creating_invited_sso_connection.html).

   * Create a new [manual SSO connection](p14saas_create_saml_connection.html).

2. When choosing which applications to add to the connection, select only the new applications you want to add.

   |   | If you select applications that are part of an existing customer connection, PingOne SSO for SaaS Apps attempts to create a duplicate application connection, which results in an error. |

3. When entering the **Customer Email** and **Customer ID (idpid)**, use the same values as the existing connection for this customer.

   |   | To find the email and `idpid` values for an existing customer connection, go to **Customer Connections** and click **Details** for the appropriate customer connection. |

4. Complete the rest of the connection creation process as normal.

## Result

PingOne SSO for SaaS Apps adds your new application to the existing customer connection.
