Use the administrative console or the
dsconfig command-line tool to
modify the server.
You can access and modify the server configuration in the following ways:
- Use the administrative console.. The server provides an administrative console for graphical server management and monitoring. The console provides equivalent functionality to the dsconfig command for viewing or editing configurations. All configuration changes using this tool are recorded in logs/config-audit.log, which also has the equivalent reversion commands that let you back out of a configuration.
- Use the
dsconfigcommand-line tool. The dsconfig tool is a text-based menu-driven interface to the underlying configuration. The tool runs the configuration using three operational modes: interactive command-line mode, non-interactive command-line mode, and batch mode. All configuration changes made using this tool are recorded in logs/config-audit.log.
