When PingFederate is installed, the included SSL certificate is self-signed. If left as is, email and some other Office 365 applications won't work because Microsoft’s WS-Trust clients are not able to establish an SSL connection with PingFederate.

To ensure proper functionality, be sure to replace the default SSL certificate with one that is signed by a public certificate authority (CA).
