To allow PingFederate to process social sign-on requests with LinkedIn, add PingFederate as an OAuth application in the LinkedIn administrative console.

Sign on to https://www.linkedin.com/developers/ using a LinkedIn developer account.
Click Create App.
Complete the Create an app form, and then click Create app.
Click the Auth tab.
Under Application credentials, note the Client ID and Client Secret.
You will use these in Configuring an adapter instance.
Under OAuth 2.0 settings, click the Edit icon.
Enter the callback endpoint of the LinkedIn IdP Adapter, such as https://pf.example.com:9031/ext/linkedin-authn. Click Update.

Note: The default endpoint is /linkedin-authn. If you set a custom endpoint here, enter the matching value in the Authorization Callback Endpoint field of your adapter instance configuration in Configuring an adapter instance.
