  1. On the PingFederate administrative console, create a new datastore.
    • For PingFederate 10.1 or later:
      1. Go to System > Data & Credential Stores.
      2. Click Add New Data Store.
    • For PingFederate 10.0 or earlier:
      1. Go to System > Data Stores.
      2. Click Add New Data Store.
  2. On the Data Store Type tab, set the basic datastore attributes.
    1. In the Name field, enter a name for the datastore.
    2. From the Type list, select PingOne Data Store. Click Next.
  3. On the Configure Data Store Instance screen, under Attribute Selector, define local attributes and map them to the values of PingOne attributes.
    1. Click Add a new row to 'Attribute Selector’.
    2. In the Local Attribute field, type a name of your choosing for an attribute.
    3. In the PingOne Attribute field, map your local attribute to the value of the matching PingOne for Customers attribute by typing JSON Pointer syntax. See JSON Pointer syntax reference.
    4. On the row that you added, click Update.
    5. To add more attributes, repeat steps a-d.
  4. Complete the connection to PingOne.
    • For PingFederate 10.1 or later:
      1. From the PingOne Envrionment list, select your environment.
      2. Click Next.
    • For PingFederate 10.0 or earlier:
      1. Complete the Environment ID, Client ID, and Client Secret fields with the values that you noted in .
      2. Click Next.
  5. On the Actions screen, check that PingFederate can connect to PingOne.
    1. Click Test Connection.
    2. Resolve any connection issues. Click Next.
  6. On the Summary screen, click Save.
