Download the authenticator app you want to use from your app store.

To use an authenticator app, such as Google authenticator or Microsoft authenticator, with PingID for a secure sign-on experience, you need to pair your authenticator app with your account. Pairing a device creates trust between your device and your account.

Setting up an authenticator app to authenticate with PingID typically involves the following steps:

  • Pair your device.

After you have paired your device, you can use it to authenticate when signing in to your account or app.

Note:

After you have paired your device, and authenticated successfully, you can also use it to authenticate for VPN, Windows login, or Mac login, if required.
