To enable passwordless authentication in the PingID cloud service, add a security key factor as an additional option to leverage for MFA:

  1. Go to Setup > PingID Configuration.
  2. Scroll down to Alternate Authentication Methods.
  3. Select the Security Key check box.
  4. Scroll down to the Security Key section.
  5. Click the Resident Key - Required radio button.
    Important:

    When Resident Key – Required is selected, User Verification is automatically set to Required. If user verification was previously set to Preferred, all security keys that have not previously undergone user verification will be automatically disabled.

  6. Click Save.
