# On-premise installation manual

PingOne Recognize is a privacy-first (zero-knowledge) biometrics and identity management platform that eliminates the need for businesses to centrally store and manage passwords, sensitive cryptographic keys, and other authentication data, without compromising on convenience and privacy for their users.

If preferred, customers can store the entire PingOne Recognize backend within their own infrastructure. This installation manual takes you through all of the necessary steps to get set up.
