The ForgeRock Authenticator is an official multi-factor authentication (MFA) application for customers.

The ForgeRock Authenticator supports the following MFA methods:

* [HMAC-based one-time passwords (HOTP)](use-cases/how-to-implement-mfa-using-otp.html)

* [Push notifications](use-cases/how-to-implement-mfa-using-push.html)

You can also enable *[authentication app policies](use-cases/how-to-apply-authenticator-policies.html)* in the ForgeRock Authenticator that prevent operation on rooted devices, for example.
