# Troubleshoot the ForgeRock Authenticator

Multi-factor authentication requires you to register a device, which is used as an additional factor when you log in to AM.

### How do I fix issues with push notifications on Apple Watch?

A stalled upgrade can cause the ForgeRock Authenticator for Apple Watch from receiving push notifications:

To resolve this issue, remove the application from the Apple Watch, and reinstall from the [App Store](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/forgerock-authenticator/id1038442926?platform=appleWatch).
