# Universal ID Parameter Type

Fetch Universal Id from `SESSION` or `LDAP` attributes. This property is used in conjunction with the [Universal ID Parameter](com.sun.identity.agents.config.universal.id.param.html) property for auditing.

Default: `SESSION`

Configure this property in Custom Properties in the `Advanced` tab of the XUI or in `agent.conf`.
