Getting started with Agent Privilege
This guide takes you from trial sign-up to verified discovery, using a test environment, a small evaluation group, and a single workstation. When you’re done, the Endpoint Controller is installed and reporting to your PingOne Privilege environment, and Agent Privilege can discover personal agents on that workstation.
The tasks in this guide cover personal agent discovery only. For workload agents and non-human identities, continue with Agent Privilege use cases after completing these getting started tasks.
Task 1: Start a trial and set up your environment
Start a PingOne trial or prepare an existing environment, and configure it for Agent Privilege.
Task 2: Create users and groups for Agent Privilege
In PingOne, create users and groups with the necessary roles and configure access to PingOne Privilege.
Task 3: Install the Endpoint Controller and access the admin console
Install the Endpoint Controller with an onboarding link, approve the macOS security permissions, and open the admin console.
Task 4: Discover agents in your environment
Turn on discovery and review the first personal agents found on your workstation.
Task 5: Configure Agent Privilege for further use cases
Explore additional configurations for Agent Privilege to extend discovery to workload and NHI agents.
