Tuning the server
The PingDirectory server’s installation process automatically determines the optimal Java Virtual Machine (JVM) settings based on calculations of the machine running setup.
The default configuration and JVM settings are suitable for most deployments, but it is not uncommon in high-performance environments to make slight changes to the server’s JVM settings as well as performance and resource-related configuration changes with the dsconfig
tool. For these high-performance environments, tuning can achieve optimum throughput performance and disk space usage for the server and its tools.
