7.3 Product PingDirectory

Run dsconfig in interactive mode. Enter the LDAP or LDAPS
connection parameters when prompted.
$ bin/dsconfig
- Enter o to change to the Advanced Objects menu.
- On the main menu, enter the number for Plugins.
- On the Plugin menu, enter the number corresponding to view and edit an existing plugin.
- On the Plugin selection list, enter the number corresponding to the Stats Logger.

On the Stats Logger Plugin menu, enter the number
to set the
enabled
property toTRUE
. When done, enter f to save and apply the configuration. The default logger will log information about the server every second to <server-root>/logs/dsstats.csv. If the server is idle, nothing will be logged, but this can be changed by setting thesuppress-if-idle
property toFALSE
(suppress-if-idle=false

- Run the Directory Proxy Server. For example, if you are running in a test environment, you can run the search-and-mod-rate tool to apply some searches and modifications to the server. You can run search-and-mod-rate --help to see an example command.
- View the Stats log output at <server-root>/logs/dsstats.csv. You can open the file in a spreadsheet.
