Remove a connector

If you remove a connector used in a mapping while it’s part of a scheduled task, you could experience unintended consequences.

If you’re removing a connector, complete the following checklist first. Depending on your configuration, the list might not be comprehensive:

  • Consider the remote resource. Make sure you no longer need data from that resource and that the resource no longer requires data from IDM.

  • Open the sync.json file for your project and delete the code block associated with the mapping.

  • Review the schedule-recon.json file. If it contains the schedule for a single operation, delete the file, or update it as a schedule for a different mapping.

When these steps are complete, delete the connector configuration file, conf/provisioner.openicf-connectorName.json, or remove the connector configuration using a UI. Deleting the configuration using a UI removes the provisioner file from your project’s conf/ directory. The UI doesn’t remove the associated mappings or schedules.

Using the Platform admin UI

  1. From the sidebar, click settings_ethernet Provisioners.

  2. In the provisioner list, find the provisioner to delete, then click More Actions > Delete.

  3. In the Delete provisioner? modal, click Delete.

Using the legacy admin UI

  1. Click Configure > Connectors.

  2. Find the connector to delete, then click > Delete.

  3. In the Confirm Delete modal, click Delete.
