The setup process automatically tunes the percentage of the
db-cache-percentproperty for the userRoot backend based on the maximum configured JVM heap size. This is only done for the userRoot backend during setup. Other backends created by the user are allocated 10%. The allocation can be changed if needed. When setting up the server, perform the following steps:
- Install the server with necessary memory. The server will autotune the size of the cache.
- Set the autotuned cache size to the limit for the combined cache sizes of all of the backends.
- Divide the server cache based on the expected size of the data in each backend.
